Please note: this page is seriously out of date. I am only keeping it here because so many other pages are linked to it. One of these days I will dismantle or update it...

Horseback riding is the sport / past-time that I have pursued the longest. I started riding at age six when I still lived in upstate New York. For those who know horse terms, I mainly ride the English style (that is for those who do not know, the smaller saddle and jumping fences). I have also ridden western and dressage and I even drove a carriage once. I have competed seriously for the past six years both at college and at the state level in CT. At Mount Holyoke, I was on the Intercollegiate Equestrian Team for four years. Through my coach's instruction, I learned a great deal and moved up through the levels to the highest divisions. What I enjoy the most about riding is the challenge in training horses. There is nothing like bridging the gap and accomplishing a goal. Here are a few riding pics that you can check out.

My friends have also labeled me as a whitewater rafting addict, which I can not deny. But can you really blame me? Besides, there are worse things in life to be addicted to. I think they enjoy not having to try hard to convince me to go on an additional trip in a year. For the past seven + years I have rafted rivers in New England with Crab Apple Whitewater. I highly recommend this company. Also, check out a slide show that a fellow rafter and I put together. Pictures often say more than words can.
